Work Day at the farm!

Many of you lovely people have expressed interest in coming by the farm to help out. We thought we’d wait for HOT weather… just kidding. But such as it is, Dr. Dave has a rare day off of work for the holiday this Friday. We’ve got the sunscreen & bug spray ready for those who show up to help Friday morning. Gathering around 9am at the farm; 10715 Shopton Rd W, Charlotte, NC 28278.

Come join us for an hour or more. Many hands make light work! All ages welcome.

There are sticks all over the yard from fallen branches during the spring thunderstorms. Strong back is not required to stroll in the shade under the old growth pecan trees and help us build our kindling pile. Weeding, gardening, dog brushing, and for those who are more industrious… you can help prep the barn for fall and spread the remaining mulch pile.

Our next farm event will happen the first weekend of August as we are teaching classes off the farm this month. So, if you’d like to see the farm and feed the goats… this is a great time to come. (Next farm class August 1st!)

Please dress sensibly, wear comfortable shoes and bring a sunhat, sunglasses, work gloves and bottled water. Vouchers for upcoming classes are available for those who are able to help 2 hours or more.

Thanks for your help!
