Pre-Register here!

Calling all readers and listeners to a fascinating international picturebook storytime! Come and listen to a bilingual English-Ukrainian picturebook How Many?/Скільки? by Halyna Kyrpa and Olha Havrylova. We’ll encounter playing “Pretend to be a Translator” game and explore the picturebook through artful game and activity.  We will find a spot under a story tree, one of the old growth pecan trees on the Wish We Had Acres farmstead. Meet the goats and farm dogs, enjoy the great outdoors and farm setting as a back drop in sharing our marvelous reading fun!

Wild foraged sumac lemonade and cookies are provided. If you have a favorite picnic blanket and/or have special dietary needs and want to bring your own snacks, this is encouraged and welcome.

The instructor on the international storytime is Oksana Lushchevska. Born in Ukraine, she obtained Doctor of Philosophy Degree at University of Georgia, focusing in Reading, Writing, Children’s Literature, and Digital Literacy. Oksana is also the writer and translator of more than 50 children’s books as well as the founder and tutor of A Joyful Fox Reading and Writing Club.
