Weeds To Remedies: Tinctures and Glycerites

How do you take care of cuts while hiking in Arizona? Or stings from the many critters in the desert? Want a quick remedy for sunburn as we face the blistering days of summer? Learn about these and a few other local remedies and how to prepare them as a tincture or glycerite. Take one home and learn enough to lighten your first aid kit for a day hike or minor desert emergency.
Dave Hamilton is co-owner of Wish We Had Acres Farm. He holds a BS in Biomedical Science and recently graduated from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine with a doctorate in naturopathic medicine. His focus is on family medicine and health education using nature, healthy habits, and the body’s innate ability to heal itself to achieve health. Dave has worked for Herbal Vitality, a local medicinal tincture producer, for the past 5 years.

Class Fee: $15 for one person OR ATTEND WITH A FRIEND: 2 for $25. Fee is payable at the door with cash or check. (Make checks out to Valley Permaculture Alliance). This location also takes credit cards.
There is an additional materials fee of $12 which is payable directly to Dave Hamilton.
