Meet the Rescue Pups
“Auryn” is our Great Pyrenees who survived abandonment in a chicken coop by sparing the chickens to eat their eggs, smart girl! She is now our amazing livestock guardian dog who has been known to break up a chicken fight.
Chico “Nasty” is a teacup chihuahua who will never forgive us for taking him from the desert. He is happiest when zipped up inside your jacket, sitting in a patch of sunshine and or sniffing out some good garbage (you can take the dog outta the street, but you can’t take the street outta the dog!).
My first pup Peaches was found on a busy street corner, and escaped twice while we posted “Found Dog” fliers in the neighborhood, only to be returned by someone who saw our flier… hmm (happened twice).
And then there’s our good ol’ boy Champ, our curmudgeonly old man. A Beagle/Bassett mix retired from a hunting dog’s life in Appalachia, where he found his forever home with David over a beefsteak. The two have been inseparable since.
